WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.— Aspen Bradley delivered a match-high 11 kills, posting an .846 attack percentage along the way, while Anna Rymer closed with 10 kills (.562 attack pct.), to help the Salem volleyball team earn its ninth win of the season and fifth by virtue of a sweep over Hollins by scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-18 at Varsity Gym on Monday evening.

Bradley's .846 attack percentage is the third-best single-match performance in program history and the ninth time this season she has posted a .300 or better. She is the fourth different Spirit to post an .800 attack percentage or better, along with Kylie Taffer (2x) and Taylor Moulton.

Along with reaching double-digit kills for the sixth time in 2022, Rymer eclipsed the .300 attack percentage for the sixth time on the season. The duo helped Salem close with 36 kills, commit just three errors and finish with the team's best single-game attack percentage (.458).

Rymer also made her presence felt defensively, coming through with two solo blocks and an assisted block, while Ella Brameus was the back row leader with nine digs.

FIRST SET RECAP
After an early three-all deadlock in the early going, Salem capitalized on four kills, including two from Nikita Sizemore, to establish a 15-5 lead. Hollins would counter with four of the next five points, trimming the margin to seven. But the Spirits regained their previous form, and with Brameus in serve, who had three service aces of her own, closed out the win 25-9. Salem ended the opening frame with a .545 attack percentage and took advantage of 12 kills along the way.

SECOND SET RECAP
The two teams traded points throughout the opening of the second set, but a Salem grabbed a 6-5 lead on a Hollins miscue. The Spirits surrendered just three points during a 12-3 run, capped off by a kill from Rymer, to grab a comfortable 18-8 lead. Hollins eventually moved into double figures, but miscues coupled with a Sizemore kill for the final point provided Salem the 2-0 advantage.

THIRD SET RECAP
Hollins regrouped during the intermission to grab a 10-7 lead in the third, but Salem used a block from Sizemore and Rymer to eventually tie the score at 10. Four straight attack errors, along with kills from Rymer and Snow, allowed the Spirits to grab the 19-12 lead. Addie Beck and Valeria Rosa Lopez delivered kills for Salem, while Hollins' offense committed three errors, to result in a Salem win.
