  • Guilford added three runs in the top of the seventh as Roanoke found themselves down, 15-3, with just nine outs remaining for the home team. PK Cocolis started the Maroon rally by being hit by a pitch. Cocolis scored on a Jonny Wall double and after a base hit by Conner Butler, runners were on the corner. Jacob Bonzon walked to load the bases ahead of a Ferrell sacrifice fly. With two-outs, the Maroons offense exploded. Smith doubled to clear the bases before a pair of free passes put three Maroons on base. An infield single ahead of a Staz free pass would tie the score at 15-15. Andrews drove in a pair to put Roanoke in front after they trailed by as many as 12 runs. A Lawn base hit added to the lead. A walk and three consecutive singles would see the RC lead grow to eight, 23-15.
