Hawks fall to Virginia Wesleyan

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.  – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team lost to Virginia Wesleyan 14-4 on Wednesday night.

The Hawks (7-6) fell behind in the second quarter and could not find an answer for the Marlins (7-3).

Adrian Harper had one goal, two assists and five ground balls for Huntingdon. Bryce Coates had a goal and three ground balls and Zach Barnhill and Paul Gordon each scored one goal. Mike Jones had two caused turnovers and four ground balls.

Tyler Keiser won four faceoffs and picked up seven ground balls.

Goalie Matt Murphy had 14 saves and 11 goals allowed in 45 minutes and Stephen Dan had one save and three goals allowed in 15 minutes.
