Meredith Volleyball Sweeps Emory & Henry, 3-0, Friday In Marymount Invitational

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Meredith College Volleyball Team (5-3) opened the Marymount Invitational on Friday evening with a 3-0 (29-27, 25-12, 25-14) victory over Emory & Henry College (2-5).

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Sophomore right-side hitter Ashley Clayton (Durham, N.C.) had five kills, four assists and four digs in the match while sophomore outside hitter Chelsie Crussell (Kingsport, Tenn.) posted four kills and eight digs.
- Freshman setter Marissa Snapp (Chuckey, Tenn.) posted five assists and five digs while senior libero Lauren Coolidge (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) led the team with 11 digs.

Meredith Individual Leaders
- Caroline Corey put up a match-high 12 kills while Whitney Bolton had seven kills of her own.
- Lauren Grodi and Avery Bowman split the setting duties with 14 and 13 assists each as they both collected six digs.
- Lauren Phillips led all players with 21 digs.
