The Short Story: The Roanoke College field hockey team fell to nationally ranked Shenandoah on Saturday afternoon in Winchester. The Hornets are the highest ranked team in the ODAC, sitting at No. 15 in the national polls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- SU scored a goal in each of the four quarters to come away with the win. The game-winner came in the 12th minute at 11:07 while the Hornets added two more in the second to have a 3-0 halftime lead.
- Two goals in each of the third and fourth quarters provided the final score margin for Shenandoah at 7-0.
