The Lead: The Roanoke College men's soccer traveled to Charlotte to play Emory University at the neutral site, midway between the two institutions. Neither team would score during the first half. At the 62-minute mark, the Eagles would break the tie and score the only goal of the afternoon for the 1-0 non-conference win.

Highlights:

• The two teams would combine for 10, total, but only two shots on goal during the first 45 minutes of play.
• At the 62:19 mark, Emory would be awarded a Penalty Kick. Nate Sampson converted the PK and the Eagles took a 1-0 advantage.
• In the closing seconds, Roanoke got a chance to tie but the Vincent Lamina header was saved and Roanoke fell, 1-0, to Emory.
• Zach Behe registered four saves in goal for the Maroons.

Up next: Roanoke will begin conference play on Tuesday when they wrap up a five-match road swing with a trip to Randolph-Macon for a 7:00pm start with the Yellow Jackets.
