The Lead: Roanoke scored the first 17 points of the game and never looked back as the Maroons topped host Bridgewater 76-44 in ODAC Men's Hoops on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:

  • A Tripp Greene three-pointer made the score 10-0 RC just two and a half minutes into the ball game before another trifecta from Greene at the 15:31 mark made it 16-0.
  • The Maroons defense held BC scoreless until the 12:13 mark and RC would extend its lead to 24-5 on a Kasey Draper bucket with just over five minutes left to play in the first-half.
  • Two free-throws by JP Corser with under a minute to play would send the teams to the locker room with Roanoke leading 34-12.
  • The RC defense held BC to just 3-of-23 (13%) shooting during the first 20 minutes of play. 
  • Roanoke scored seven of the first nine points of the second-half with a Draper three-pointer making it 41-14 with 17 minutes left to play in the game.
  • The Maroons pushed its lead to 30 points with six minutes to play in the game when Dillon Thomas drained a three-pointer, was fouled and converted the ensuing free-throw to make it 62-31.
  • Draper and Greene each had 19 points for the Maroons. RC shot 43.3% for the game, making 26-of-60 shots from the floor including nine three-pointers. Roanoke held a 45-32 edge on the glass thanks to eight rebounds from Draper and seven boards from Ethan Rohan.
  • Liam Caswell had 17 points for the Eagles who were held to a season-low in points and field goals made (14).
