The Lead: For the first time in a week, the Roanoke College women's soccer team was in action when they traveled east to face the University of Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon. A pair of Hornet, first half, goals was the difference as Roanoke fell in ODAC play.

Highlights:

• Just over 20 minutes into the match, Lynchburg would net the first goal of the match to take a 1-0 advantage.
• Nine minutes later, the Hornets made it 2-0 and carried that lead into the break.
• The home team enjoyed a 13-7 shot edge during the first 45 minutes.
• Lynchburg would continue to pull away in shots as the Hornets took 15 more attempts to just four by the Maroons in a scoreless second half.
• Cameron Shackford and Morgan O'Neill each attempted three shots on the afternoon.
• In goal, Carrington Lippi got the start and recorded nine saves on the 11 Lynchburg shots on goal.
