Ferrum, VA- The Tigers continued their road weekend in Ferrum, Virginia where they took on the Ferrum Panthers. Wittenberg remained undefeated on the weekend with a 3-0 win over the Panthers with goals from Katie Webber and Regan Mazzulli.
Katie Webber was able to get things started with a goal in the first quarter off of an assist from Regan Mazzulli. Webber, who made an impact in the Tigers last game against Meredith, added her third career goal. Mazzulli continued to impact the game in the second quarter with a goal of her own off of an assist from Allison Ormsby. Wittenberg headed into the half with a 2-0 lead over Ferrum. The Mazzulli-Ormsby duo came back in the third quarter with another point for the Tigers with Mazzulli scoring off another great look from Ormsby.
Wittenberg was able to leave the Panthers scoreless and took the game 3-0. Tiger defense saw five shots and two penalty corners. Junior goalkeeper, Emma Hurguy, was able to make a save to keep Ferrum scoreless and improve Wittenberg's record to 4-1. Wittenberg will return to action at Denison on the 18th at 11AM.
