Lynchburg Runs Away From Lions 92-62

Tyler Arnold came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds in the Lions' 92-62 loss at Lynchburg.
Box Score LYNCHBURG, Virginia -- The Piedmont College men's basketball team dropped a 92-62 non-conference decision at Lynchburg (VA) College after the Hornets scored the first 13 points of the game and never looked back.

Center Austin Chillemia and guard Xavier Parham each had four points to fuel the 13-0 run in the first five minutes of the game. LC held a lead of 48-16 at halftime, which tied its biggest advantage of the contest.

TYLER ARNOLD had 13 points and six rebounds for Piedmont (0-3). JESSIE JENKINS tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds and ALTON HONORS II scored 11 points. The Hornet defense forced 31 Lion turnovers while committing 25 of their own. Piedmont shot just 17 percent from the field (6-35) in the first half, but heated up after intermission, shooting 56 percent (14-25). 

The victory improves Lynchburg to 5-1 overall on the season. Piedmont will wrap up the two-game non-conference road trip through Virginia tomorrow afternoon with a 2:00 tip-off against Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, VA.
