  • Bridgewater Falls to Huntingdon in NCAA Tournament Play
    May 17, 2013
    The Huntingdon Hawks jumped out the an early 3-0 lead and went to defeat the Bridgewater College Eagles, 6-2, Friday in NCAA Division III South Region tournament action at USA Stadium. The loss eliminated the Eagles from postseason play as they finished the season with a 34-13 record.
  • Randolph-Macon Falls to Huntingdon in NCAA Regionals

    Fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon was eliminated by top-seeded Huntingdon 5-0 Thursday in the NCAA Division III South Regional at USA Stadium. The Yellow Jackets finish the 2013 season with a 23-19-1 record and an ODAC championship.
  • Eagles Stay Alive in NCAA Tournament with Win Over Methodist

    Bridgewater College jumped out to an early lead with a six-run third inning and then held off a late Methodist rally to stay alive in the South Region tournament with a 10-7 victory Thursday at USA Stadium. BC faces Huntingdon on Friday afternoon in an elimination game.
  • Millsaps Defeats Bridgewater in NCAA Regional Contest

    illsaps starter Will Edwards pitched a complete-game, five-hitter Wednesday evening to lead the Majors to a 7-0 victory over the Bridgewater College Eagles on the first day of the NCAA Division III South Region baseball tournament at USA Stadium. BC takes on Methodist on Thursday in an elimination game.
  • Randolph-Macon Falls to Salisbury in NCAA Opener
    May 15, 2013
    Fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon saw second-seeded Salisbury score three unearned runs in the bottom of the ninth to pull out a 3-2 win in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament South Regional at USA Stadium. The Yellow Jackets (23-18-1) will face top-seeded Huntingdon in an elimination game on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET.
  • Bridgewater, Randolph-Macon Enter NCAA Baseball Tournament

    Just two NCAA Division III championship events that will feature ODAC athletes have yet to begun, but one saw its field announced late Sunday evening. Bridgewater College and Randolph-Macon College will represent the ODAC in the 2013 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. Both squads will play out of the same regional in Millington, Tenn., hosted by Rhodes College.
  • Randolph-Macon Completes Two-Game Run to ODAC Baseball Title

    Fresh off a tight 8-7 victory over Bridgewater in the originally scheduled ODAC Baseball Tournament championship game on Monday, Randolph-Macon carried its momentum into the second contest, completing a two-game run to the 2013 conference title with a 6-2 victory over the Eagles in Salem, Va. The Yellow Jackets earn the conference’s automatic entry into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
  • ODAC Baseball Tournament Will Resume in Salem

    The 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Baseball tournament will resume play in Salem, Va. today. Top-seeded Bridgewater College and fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon College will face each other in game 10 at Lewis-Gale Field at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Game time is set for 5:00pm.
  • ODAC Baseball Tournament Delayed Due To Weather

    The 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Baseball tournament has been delayed due to weather. The scheduled 1:00pm start at Lynchburg City Stadium between top-seeded Bridgewater College and fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon College today will now be played Monday, April 29 at Lewis-Gale Field at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium in Salem, Va. The game is tentatively scheduled for 5:00pm.
  • BC’s Fulk, LC’s Henderlite Highlight ODAC Baseball Awards

    Bridgewater outfielder Nick Fulk and Lynchburg righty Martin Henderlite highlight the 2013 ODAC Baseball All-Conference awards as the ODAC Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively. Eagles’ mentor Curt Kendall was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year, while Randolph-Macon designated hitter Mitchell Keeler earned ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels. Guilford outfielder John Macon Smith received the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.

  • ODAC Baseball Tournament Seeds Set

    Bridgewater owns the top seed in the 2013 ODAC Baseball Tournament as the Eagles lost just one time in 20 conference games to put them in driver's seat as they look to build upon an ODAC record 13 titles on the diamond. Two tiebreakers were needed to sift out the six-team field that will compete in the double-elimination tourney at Lynchburg's historic City Stadium.

  • ODAC Spotlight Athlete of the Week: Daniel Stanley, EMU Baseball

    Eastern Mennonite University senior pitcher Daniel Stanley has won a pair of ODAC Pitcher of the Week awards this season, including the most recent honor. On 3/23, he tossed a five-hit shutout over nine innings to complete a doubleheader sweep of Hampden-Sydney, keeping EMU in the thick of the ODAC standings.

  • Top Three Separated by Two Points in ODAC Baseball Poll

    The top of the 2013 ODAC Baseball Preseason Poll is as tightly packed as any season as just two points separate three teams, all of which received first place consideration. Bridgewater College heads the poll after picking up 92 points and four top nods. Lynchburg College sits second, also with four first place tabs towards 91 points. New to the ODAC in 2013, Shenandoah University debuts at the #3 position with 90 points and the remaining three top billings.
  • LC Baseball Welcomes Nathan Norman as Lifetime Hornet

    The Lynchburg College baseball program welcomed Nathan Norman as the newest addition to the team, signing his "letter of intent" Tuesday in front of the baseball team and members of the media.
