    Shenandoah University forced the 'if' game Sunday at the Union Regional of the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament with a 6-4, 10-inning victory over host Kean. Shenandoah (34-13) now faces the Cougars (31-15) in a winner-take-all championship with a 4:15 start.
  • Shenandoah Wins Again, Advances to NCAA Baseball Super Regionals

    The Shenandoah University baseball team earned its first regional championship since 2010 with a 4-1 victory Sunday afternoon at the Union Regional over Kean (N.J.). The Hornets (35-13) advance to next week's Super Regional versus Johns Hopkins thanks to the Sunday sweep over Kean (31-16). An official announcement as to the location of next week's best-of-three series with the Blue Jays is expected to be announced by the NCAA on Monday.

    The Shenandoah University baseball team continued its run in the 2019 NCAA Tournament with a 9-2 victory Saturday afternoon over Ithaca (N.Y.). Shenandoah (32-13) advances to Saturday night's 7 p.m. elimination contest versus the loser of the Kean/Westfield (Mass.) State game with the victory of over the Bombers (31-9).

    The Shenandoah University baseball team has advanced to the championship of the Union Regional with a 7-1 victory over Westfield (Mass.) State Saturday night. Shenandoah (33-13) faces host Kean University on Sunday at noon in the first of what could be two games against the Cougars. The Hornets need to sweep Kean in order to advance to next week's Super Regional.

    It has been awhile since the ODAC was represented by just one team in the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament, but that will be the case this season as the NCAA announced the 58-team field on Monday afternoon. Shenandoah University, winner of the ODAC title, will carry the conference banner the league's lone entry for the first time since 2012.
  • Spotts Returns to Bridgewater as Head Coach

    Former Bridgewater College player and assistant coach Ben Spotts will return to his alma mater to take the head coaching position with the Eagles' baseball program. Spotts was introduced as the program's new head coach during a Monday afternoon press conference in the College's Nininger Hall President's Suite.

    Shenandoah University became the first back-to-back champion in ODAC baseball in 15 years on Saturday afternoon as the Hornets recovered from a 5-1 setback in the first title game to post a 5-4 triumph over Randolph-Macon College in the winner-take-all final showdown to secure the league hardware. With the victory, the Hornets earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
  • Randolph-Macon Trio Headlines All-ODAC Baseball Awards

    Randolph-Macon College earned three of the five major individual honors in a vote of the league's head coaches, highlighting the 2019 All-ODAC Baseball Awards. Yellow Jackets third baseman Mike Nickles was named the ODAC Player of the Year, while righthander Nick Roth received ODAC Pitcher of the Year laurels. R-MC mentor Ray Hedrick repeated as the ODAC Coach of the Year. Versatile infielder and pitcher Garrett Jackson from the University of Lynchburg secured ODAC Rookie of the Year distinction. Roanoke College third baseman Jack Howard took home the final major honor as he earned ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition from the conference's sports information directors.

    Randolph-Macon College and Roanoke College were separated by just percentage points in the final regular season standings with the two squads occupying the top-two seeds in the upcoming ODAC Baseball Tournament. The Yellow Jackets own the #1 seed for a second straight season, while the Maroons enter as the second seed.

  • Randolph-Macon Leads ODAC Baseball Preseason Poll

    The top two teams from last season's ODAC Baseball Preseason Poll flipped places in the 2019 edition as Randolph-Macon College stands atop reigning ODAC champion Shenandoah University and the remaining 10 conference teams in the annual head coaches' survey. The Yellow Jackets earned nine first place votes on the way to a chart-topping 119 tallies, while the Hornets picked up two top nods as part of a 110-point haul.

  • ODAC Inks Two-Year Deal with Salem for Baseball Tournament Play

    The ODAC Baseball Tournament has undergone quite a few changes over the past few years with a new split weekend format introduced in 2018. Change continues in 2018-19 with a new location for the final weekend. Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark will serve as the final weekend host for each of the next two seasons.
  • ODAC Announces 2017-18 Sportsmanship Teams

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2017-18 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the conference's 24 sponsored sports. The squads are comprised of a student-athlete selected by the coaching staffs of each team competing under the conference banner with all sports and schools fully represented.
