Colin Selby, Randolph-Macon, Jr., Pitcher

Selby, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., put the finishing touches on a strong season with eight shutout innings in a 12-0 triumph over Roanoke in game-one of a season-ending split. The victory improved his season record to 9-1, tying him with Virginia Wesleyan's Jacob Pilarski for tops in the league. More importantly, it wrapped up the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament. Selby gave up just four hits and walked two batters while fanning 10 Maroons. It is his third game of 10-plus strikeouts this season. He did not allow more than one baserunner in any inning, setting down seven straight batters after issuing a game-open walk. Selby is #1 in the ODAC in strikeouts (93) and strikeouts per nine innings (12.01). He owns the league's second-best earned run average at 2.20 in 69.2 innings of work.
