Woolford, a junior from Charlottesville, Va., was run-generating machine for the Hornets last week as he had a hand in 19 of the 38 runs scored by Shenandoah. Woolford slashed .471/.571/1.059 with four of his hits going for extra bases. He drove in 13 runs and scored another six in SU's 3-1 week. In a week-opening 12-10 setback to Bridgewater, Woolford crashed a three-run homer, walked four times, drove in four runs in total, and scored three times. He went 4-for-6 in the next contest, a 16-3 triumph at Dickinson. He doubled and hit a two-run blast, driving in three runs for the game and scoring two times. He also stole a base. Woolford then went 3-for-9 with a homer, six RBI, and a run scored in a sweep (2-1, 8-6) of Ferrum. He drove in those six runs in game two, including a two-run shot to center in the top of the first. For the season, Woolford is hitting .330 with an ODAC sixth-best .460 OBP and 10th-ranked .557 SLG. He is second in RBI (33), fourth in homers (5), and fifth in walks (21).
