Triesler, a senior from Chesterfield, Va., put together a strong week both on the hill and at the dish in three wins for Hampden-Sydney. In a 3-0 triumph over Southern Virginia, Triesler started and worked 8.0 scoreless innings. He gave up just three hits and did not walk a batter while striking out nine. He set down the first six Knights he faced and left the game having retired 13 straight batters. Triesler went 5-for-8 with two doubles, two RBI, two walks, and three runs scored in the other two games he played. That included a 4-for-4 day in a 9-4 win over Ithaca. For the season, Triesler is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA in 15.0 innings of work. He has yet to walk a batter and has fanned 18. At the dish, he's hitting .393 with seven RBI and eight runs scored.
