  • ODAC Announces 2008 Football Media Day

    The opening event of the 2008-09 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) athletic schedule has officially been set. The 2008 ODAC Football Media Day will be held on Friday, August 8 at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia. The annual meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m.
  • H-SC’s Smith Wins Virginia Football’s Dudley Award

    Hampden-Sydney senior receiver Drew Smith (Richmond, VA/Mills Godwin) has been named the Dudley Award Winner on Thursday night at the 2007 Dudley Awards Banquet at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Smith, the Division II/III/NAIA recipient, is joined by University of Virginia defensive end Chris Long, the Division I and I-AA recipient, as the 2007 award winners.
  • H-SC’s Smith, W&L’s Luby Earn Top Football Awards

    Hampden-Sydney College wide receiver Drew Smith and Washington & Lee University defensive back Kyle Luby took home the ODAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the annual voting of the conferences’ football coaches. The Tigers’ Marty Favret was tabbed the Coach of the Year while W&L offensive lineman Greg Kurkis was named the Freshman of the Year. Bridgewater College quarterback Jeff Highfill picked up his second straight ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award.
  • ODAC Football Videocast Set for Second Week of Action

    The second game of the ODAC’s video webcast schedule is on tap for this Saturday in Lexington, Virginia. The match up features Catholic University at Washington & Lee University for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff. Thanks to Penn Atlantic and Lavaa Productions as well as both participating schools, the ODAC is proud to bring you all the action via streaming audio and video.
  • ODAC to Videocast Six Conference Football Games
    September 25, 2007
    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and Penn Atlantic Inc. will be partnering to broadcast six conference football games throughout the remainder of the 2007 ODAC schedule. Much like last season’s two showings, the games’ audio and video will be webcast over the Internet via streaming audio and video. Each of the seven ODAC competing schools will be featured at least once.
  • Habitat for Humanity to Benefit from Football Game

    Washington and Lee University and Averett University will be meeting on the gridiron on Sat., Sept. 22 at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va. Proceeds from the football game will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.
  • Bridgewater Tops Preseason Poll

    Bridgewater College earned five of seven first place votes to garner the top spot in the 2007 ODAC Football Preseason Coaches Poll. Defending champion, Washington & Lee University, picked up just three fewer votes than the Eagles and the remaining two first place nods for total 42 tallies. Guilford College rounded out the top three with 33 total votes.
  • Final ODAC Video Webcast Set for Randolph-Macon
    The ODAC has made a change in its football video webcast schedule for this coming weekend. With the help of Penn Atlantic and the dedicated information technology and athletic staffs at Randolph-Macon College, the ODAC will be video webcasting Saturday’s match-up between Hampden-Sydney College and Randolph-Macon from Ashland. Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
