Hampden-Sydney Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Award

FOREST, Va. --- Week six of the collegiate football season provided ODAC fans with an exciting set of games to watch and an equally impressive group of finalists for the ODAC Football Play of the Week.  Hampden-Sydney College came away with the win in this week's poll thanks to its opening kickoff return against Bridgewater.

Hampden-Sydney got its home game against Bridgewater started with a bang as the Tigers used a lateral from David Coe to Sidney Henry to open a 7-0 lead with a 95-yard kickoff return.  That touchdown was the first of four unanswered touchdowns as the Tigers scored the first 28 points of the game.

Hampden-Sydney earned 47.09% of the vote to secure the top spot.  The Tigers' big play also doubled as the D3football.com Play of the Week.  In total, the ODAC's four finalists were watched nearly 1,100 times on YouTube over the past two days.
