GC's Stevenson, W&L's Hollenbeck Honored Twice
FOREST, Va. --- Seven players from ODAC
football teams recently earned All-America honors from the American
Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and D3football.com. Guilford College defensive
back Satiir Stevenson and Washington and Lee University offensive
lineman Connor Hollenbeck earned a pair of accolades from the two
outlets.

Stevenson, a junior from Roselle, N.J., earned third team honors
from D3football.com in addition to his AFCA laurel.
The third Quaker to earn All-American honors from the AFCA,
Stevenson led the ODAC with four interceptions. He posted a
career-high 81 tackles (47 solo) to rank seventh in the league.
The three-time All-ODAC honoree has 10 interceptions for his
career, ranking seventh in school history.
Hollenbeck, a senior from Alpharetta, Ga., was tabbed to the
honorable mention team by D3football.com as well as
one of the 25 players recognized by the AFCA. He is the first
General to earn AFCA honors since 1986. The two-time All-ODAC
First Team honoree started all 10 games in 2013, paving the way for
a rushing offense that ranked second in NCAA Division III with an
average of 346.7 yards per game.
Five other players all received recognition from
D3football.com. Hampden-Sydney College wide receiver
Holton Walker heads a list of three Tigers on the award lists.
A junior from Lynchburg, Va., Walker was selected to the
second team after setting an ODAC single-season record with 111
receptions, best in NCAA Division III. He also led the
country in receiving yards (1,723) and receiving touchdowns (16).
His 268 receiving yards in the Tigers playoff win over
Maryville College (Tenn.) rank third in ODAC history.
H-SC linebacker and 2013 ODAC Lou Wacker Defensive Player of the
Year, Tyler Ikwild, earned third team honors. Ikwild, a
senior from Philomont, Va., finished third in the ODAC with 101
tackles, including a conference second-best 56 solo stops. He
made 13 stops behind opponents' lines of scrimmage and also broke
up four passes.
Tigers' quarterback Nash Nance turned his second straight All-ODAC
First Team accolade into the D3football.com South
Region Player of the Year and a honorable mention All-American nod.
Nance, a junior from Calhoun, Ga., finished the year atop the
ODAC in passing yards (3,504), touchdowns (27), completions (276)
and attempts (437). He also proved dangerous with his legs,
rushing for 545 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Randolph-Macon College athletes picked up the remaining two
honors. Punter Tracy Murden earned a spot on the third team.
A senior from Charlotte, N.C., Murden was second in the ODAC
wit ha 40.3 yards per punt average. He placed 11 punts inside
the 20-yard line with just one touchback. He had four kicks
travel 50 yards or more, helping R-MC rank first in punt return
defense (1.38 yards per return) and second in net puntin (37.90) in
the country.
Running back Will McGhee was selected to the honorable mention
team after picking up the ODAC J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive Player
of the Year award. McGhee led the ODAC and finished
fourth nationally with 1,676 yards rushing, which ranks second on
the conference's all-time single-season list. He rushed for
16 touchdowns, notching 17 overall scores to tie atop the league
with 102 points. His 292 carries were the third-most in ODAC
history.
