W&L's Abell Named Coach of the Year by TD Club of RichmondJanuary 12, 2016The Touchdown Club of Richmond has announced that Washington and Lee Head Coach Scott Abell has been selected to receive the Willard Bailey Coach of the Year Award as the State Coach of the Year for the College Division. Danny Rocco of the University of Richmond will receive the Bobby Ross Award as the top University Division coach.

LaSala's Three Honors Lead ODAC Football All-AmericansDecember 23, 2015Washington and Lee University offensive lineman Michael LaSala earned All-American honors from three separate outlets to lead the ODAC's contingent of five All-American honorees. That group includes a quartet from Guilford College in quarterback Matt Pawlowski, receiver Adam Smith, running back De'Eric Bell, and punter Tyler Hunt.

GC's Pawlowski Leads ODAC in First Round of Postseason HonorsDecember 11, 2015Postseason honors for NCAA Division III football's best players have started to roll in, with the ODAC well represented. Guilford College quarterback Matt Pawlowski leads the pack as he is a finalist for the 2015 Gagliardi Trophy, which honors the top player in D-III football. He is one of four finalists that will make the trip to Salem, Va., on Wednesday, December 16, a special ceremony in conjunction with the Stagg Bowl.

Bridgewater's Douglass Tabbed as Second Team Academic All-AmericanDecember 01, 2015Bridgewater College football senior Sean Douglass has been honored for his success on the field and in the classroom, as the center was named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America team. A three-time CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District selection, Douglass was named to the Academic All-America Second Team. Earlier this season, he was named a national semifinalist for the National Football Foundation Campbell Trophy- which recognizes the nation's top football scholar-athlete across all divisions.

Guilford's Pawlowski, Shenandoah's Payne Highlight ODAC Football AwardsNovember 24, 2015Guilford quarterback Matt Pawlowski and Shenandoah defensive lineman Jake Payne headline the 2015 All-ODAC Football Awards, earning the J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive and Lou Wacker Defensive Player of the Year honors, respectively. Washington and Lee mentor Scott Abell was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year, while Hampden-Sydney running back Kyree Koonce picked up ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades. Bridgewater offensive lineman Sean Douglass received the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.

Washington and Lee Falls to Thomas More in NCAA First RoundNovember 21, 2015Ninth-ranked Thomas More gained 522 total yards and jumped out to a 35-0 lead en route to posting a 51-21 win over 15th-ranked Washington and Lee in the first round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship on Saturday afternoon at BB&T Field.

Bridgewater Wins Final ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan PollNovember 18, 2015It took until the last weekly poll of the season, but Bridgewater College wrapped up its first win in the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll. Keith Jennings' 85-yard touchdown catch-and-run not only was the most viewed of the plays this week, but also set a new season record for voting percentage received.

ODAC Football Report: Week 11November 15, 2015Washington and Lee put the finishing touches on its first undefeated regular season and school-record 10 wins with a victory on Saturday, setting up next weekend's entrance into the NCAA Division III Football Tournament. Bridgewater, Emory & Henry and Randolph-Macon also capped their seasons with victories. GC quarterback Matt Pawlowski and R-MC defensive back JJ Hill are the ODAC Players of the Week.

Guilford Wins Second ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan PollNovember 11, 2015Guilford College returns to the winners' circle for the first time since week three of the season as the Quakers earned their second ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll victory. Rontavius Miller's 85-yard catch-and-run held on to clip Randolph-Macon College's 35-yard touchdown run by Yonis Blanco at the wire.

ODAC Football Report: Week 10November 08, 2015Washington and Lee has won a lot of games this season, but Saturday's had a little extra to it as the Generals clinched the ODAC title in defeating Catholic. W&L was one of two teams to post more than 50 points with Emory & Henry lighting up the scoreboard for 54 in its win. Guilford and Randolph-Macon both topped 30 points as they remained in the win column. W&L's Connor Chess (pictured) and Moody Heard are the ODAC Players of the Week.

Generals Clinch ODAC Title with Win Over CatholicNovember 07, 2015The 16th-ranked Washington and Lee football team claimed the 2015 Old Dominion Athletic Conference title and tied the school record for wins in a season with a 52-33 victory over Catholic on Saturday afternoon at Wilson Field.

Randolph-Macon Wins Second ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan PollNovember 04, 2015Week eight of the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll gave us not only a repeat winner, but an end-to-end victor from this week's voting. Randolph-Macon College jumped out the gates and pushed forward to claim its second win of the season behind Christian Redman's 50-yard pass play from quarterback Joe McBride.

ODAC Football Report: Week 9November 01, 2015Two teams remain one-game out of first place, but its Washington and Lee that remains firmly in the driver's seat after moving to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in league play. Guilford and Hampden-Sydney also won and sit one-game back at 4-1. Randolph-Macon put together a strong defensive effort in earning its first ODAC win of the season. Tre'von Lightfoot's (pictured) interception, which doubled as a finalist in the D3football.com weekly pool, garnered the most recognition from five nominees this past week.

Washington and Lee was one of three teams to crack 40 points as the Generals remain undefeated. Emory & Henry and Guilford mark the other two high scorers and are joined by Hampden-Sydney in posting victories over the weekend. ODAC Football Report: Week 7October 18, 2015Washington and Lee is the last undefeated squad standing following the seventh weekend of action in ODAC football. Guilford and Hampden-Sydney posted their second conference wins of the season, joining Emory & Henry College at 2-1 in league play behind W&L's 3-0 ODAC mark. Shenandoah snapped a two-game skid with its first conference win of the season. GC running back De'Eric Bell (pictured) and SU linebacker Michael Messick are the ODAC Players of the Week.

Catholic Wins Second ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan PollOctober 14, 2015Week six of the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll featured the tightest results of the season. Catholic University used a strong late push in support of the one-handed touchdown catch my receiver Lucas Morley to secure its second win of the season, nipping Washington and Lee University's interception and return at the wire.

Washington and Lee is 5-0 overall and 2-0 in league play, with Emory & Henry joining the Generals at 2-0. Catholic and Guilford evened their ODAC records with wins over the weekend. Generals Wins Second Straight ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan PollOctober 07, 2015Conference play kicked off in week five, which lent us four plays for the fifth installment of the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll. Washington and Lee University's big 51-yard field goal by Matt Underhill secured the Generals' second straight win, out-pacing Bridgewater College in the online voting.

Catholic to Depart ODAC Following 2016 SeasonSeptember 29, 2015The Catholic University of America is set to end its associate membership for football with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) following the 2016 season, as announced by the University on Tuesday morning. The Cardinals will join the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) for the 2017 campaign.

ODAC Football Report: Week 4September 27, 2015Only two teams were action this past weekend, but both proved victorious in the ODAC's final two non-conference contests of the season. Washington and Lee University moved to 3-0 for the first time since the 2000 season with a 56-21 triumph over Newport News Apprentice. Emory & Henry College recovered from a 14-0 deficit to move to 2-1 with a 27-24 win over NCAA Divsion I FCS foe East Tennessee State. In the end, the double-tipped touchdown reception by Guilford College receiver Adam Smith rose to the top, beating Bridgewater College's punt return to the final bell.
