Derstine scored two goals for Eastern Mennonite, including the game-winner in double overtime, in her final regular season match. Derstine scored the Lady Royals’ first goal in Tuesday’s match with St. Mary’s (Md.), just 3:10 in. Then at 79:21, she scored again to give EMU the 4-3 win. The winning play displayed Derstine’s play-making ability well. She had the ball a 2-on-1 break and passed it to her teammate, before getting back for the score. Derstine leads EMU with 15 goals this year, but also is tied for the team-high in assists with 5. Heading into the postseason, the senior has 57 goals and 24 assists in her career, placing her 9th in EMU career scoring leaders, tied for 7th in career goals, and 13th in career assists.
