Maggie Waxter, Washington and Lee, Jr., Attack

Waxter, a junior from Baltimore, Md., helped the Generals secure the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament with a four-goal week in two conference games.  She started by notching her third hat trick of the season in a 6-0 win at Virginia Wesleyan.  It also marked her second straight game with three goals and gives her four career hat tricks, the most in W&L history.  Waxter's fourth goal of the week came via a 1-0 win over Bridgewater, which locked up the #1 seed and final four hosting responsibilities for the Generals in the ODAC Tournament.  Waxter is currently tied for first in the ODAC with 15 goals, and her 31 points are third in the league.

Field Hockey Weekly Honor Roll

Marisa Sims, Bridgewater (Jr. - GK)
Sims, normally an attacking player for BC, stepped into the cage to make 12 saves in the Eagles' 1-1 week.  She made eight saves with five second half stops in a 2-1 win over Shenandoah and had four more stops in a 1-0 loss at Washington and Lee.

Isabella Eldridge, Lynchburg (Fr. - A)
Eldridge scored the first goal in a 7-0 win over Eastern Mennonite, and then tallied three times with the game-winner in a 4-1 win over Randolph-Macon.

Kaitee Nicholas, Randolph-Macon (Jr. - M)
Nicholas registered the first goal of the game and an assist in a 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite.  She added an assist in a 4-1 loss at Lynchburg.

Fiona Dougan, Roanoke (Fr. - A)
After RC topped Ferrum 2-1, Dougan supplied the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan.  The victory vaulted RC into a three-way tie for the last two spots in the ODAC Tournament, with the Maroons earning the #5 seed after tiebreakers for their first appearance in 10 seasons.
