Brandy Troutman, Eastern Mennonite, Jr., Defender

Troutman, a junior from Mountville, Pa., put together a strong scoring and defensive week in helping Eastern Mennonite close the 2021 spring regular season with a 2-1 showing. Troutman started her week by coming forward from her defensive position to score the opening tally in a 3-0 victory at Sweet Briar. In game two, she both scored the game-winner and kept an Eagles goal off the board in a 3-2 victory over Bridgewater. With the game still in the balance in the third quarter, Troutman registered a defensive save to keep the score tied 1-1. Then, after BC had gone ahead and EMU tied it 2-all, Troutman finished off a dish from Rachel Breslin off a penalty corner in the 44th minute to secure the Royals win. In the final game of the week against league-leading Lynchburg, Eastern Mennonite held the Hornets to their lowest offensive output of the season in a 3-0 result. Troutman played a big part in that effort as she recorded a career-high four defensive saves. For the season, Troutman leads the ODAC with eight defensive saves to go along with three goals scored.
