Tess Muneses, Washington and Lee, Jr., Forward

Muneses, a junior from Howard County, Md., helped the Generals improve to 6-0 on the season with a pair of non-conference victories over the weekend. Muneses started with two goals in a 4-2 victory over Catholic University on Saturday. After the Cardinals had gone ahead, 2-1, following the opening 15 minutes of play, Muneses carried the ball into the circle and sent a shot on goal that CUA's keeper saved. The rebound came right back to Muneses, and she fired the tying goal into the back of the cage. She put Washington and Lee ahead for good less than two minutes later as she converted a penalty stroke with 6:12 showing on the second quarter clock. Muneses was back on the scoreboard with a goal and an assist in W&L's 4-1 win over nationally 18th-ranked Centre on Sunday. She assisted Grace Weise on the opening tally just 1:48 into the contest. Muneses then put the game away with a rocket shot off a penalty corner setup by Kailey Fitzgerald and Peyton Tysinger in the 49th minute. For the season, Muneses has registered 13 points on five goals and three assists.
