Saluting the Class of 2020 | Women's Golf

FOREST, Va. --- This an unprecendented time in the world of collegiate athletics, with spring sports and championships canceled due to the landscape surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The stoppage of competition, while affecting all student-athletes, was especially painful for the senior class of 2020 with an abrupt end to their careers. In a new series of features, the ODAC would like to honor this class of athletes and celebrate them for their years of contributions to their respective programs at each of the conference's 15 member schools.

In the first installment of our "Saluting the Class of 2020" features, the ODAC showcases the seniors from our women's golf programs.

Women's golf is the second youngest of the ODAC's sponsored sports, joining the league just two years prior to men's swimming. Still, the growth of women's golf has taken off over the past few years with 10 schools now sporting programs. A few athletes in this feature helped develop those squads as inaugural members of their teams, including Ashley Underwood from Emory & Henry College, Maddie Cody from the University of Lynchburg, and Maggie Kingora from Virginia Wesleyan University.

The situation was a bit different at Shenandoah University, which began its program in 2015. But this year's seniors -- Katie Davis, Hannah Henry, Madison Ngo, and McKenzie Slattery -- formed the basis for the first team-score eligible squad for the Hornets.

The class of 2020 also features a few All-ODAC golfers, led by Washington and Lee University's Griffin Foultz as a three-time honoree as well as the 2017 ODAC Rookie of the Year. Bridgewater College's Jesse Bartley and VWU's Kingora earned all-league distinction last season.

Showcased below are graphics introducing you to each of the women's golfers from the class of 2020. Click on a graphic to be sent to that player's bio to learn more about them. Be sure to check out the senior features published by ODAC member athletic departments throughout the spring.
