    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has seen only two schools win championships in women’s indoor track and field with Lynchburg College leading the class with eight titles while Roanoke College has collected four championships in the 12 years of competition.

    In 2007, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference has seen a dynasty in Lynchburg College. Head Coach Jack Toms has seen his indoor track and field team win nine consecutive ODAC titles and 20 overall throughout history. The preseason poll as voted on by the coaches has the Hornets looking for an unprecedented 21st victory.

    Both of last season’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) indoor track and field champions return solid squads this winter, leading to early predictions of a pair of back-to-back titles. Lynchburg College, the 2006 men’s champion, and last year’s women’s title winner, Roanoke College, earned top billing in the annual ODAC Indoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches Polls. The Hornets picked up four first place votes among the men’s coaches while the Maroons garnered all six top tallies for the women.
