  • ODAC Announces Jopson and Berkley Award Winners

    Eastern Mennonite University and Washington and Lee University added to their awards quota for the 2015-16 season as the ODAC Board of Directors announced the annual winners of the top scholar-athlete awards in the conference. Royals' cross country and track & field star Hannah Chappell-Dick was selected as the Marjorie Berkley Award winner, while Generals' tennis standout Michael Holt was tabbed for the Harry G. "Doc" Jopson Award.
  • Finn Pincus Retires Following 25 Years at Roanoke College
    June 06, 2016
    Dr. Finn Pincus, who just completed his 25th year as head coach of the Roanoke College Cross Country and Track & Field programs, announced Monday that he is retiring. Pincus will remain as a part-time assistant coach for the cross country programs through the end of the 2016 season. Roanoke Director of Athletics Scott Allison said a search for a new Director of Cross Country and Track & Field will begin immediately.
  • Four Earn All-American Honors at NCAA Indoor Track Championships

    Four of the six athletes from ODAC member schools took home All-American honors at the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend. Bridgewater sprinter Amber Celen, Eastern Mennonite and Virginia Wesleyan mid-distance runners Hannah Chappell-Dick and Marissa Coombs, and Washington and Lee jumper Dana Lee each garnered honors following competition at the Bear Athletic Center at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
  • ODAC Athletes Prepared for NCAA Indoor Track Championships

    Six student-athletes are set to represent their schools and the ODAC at the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Track Championships. One men's competitor and five women's standouts head to Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, for competition in the annual season-ending event on Friday and Saturday.
  • Eagles Sweep ODAC Indoor Titles for Second Straight Season

    Bridgewater took home both ODAC indoor track & field team trophies for the second straight year on Sunday evening, completing a sweep that featured five women's and four men's gold medals. The Eagles' men collected 166 points with Washington and Lee picking up 115.5 markers as runner-up. The women's ranks were much tighter, with BC outpacing W&L by just two points, 135 to 133.
  • Previewing the 2016 ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

    After two straight seasons at a new venue, the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships return to a familiar facility as the Prince George's SportsPlex in Landover, Md., prepares to welcome the conference's student-athletes on Sunday. Shenandoah University takes up the mantle as the host school for the championship, which includes 16 events for each of the men's and women's ranks.

  • Bridgewater Tops ODAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Poll

    Reigning ODAC champion Bridgewater College secured seven first place votes towards 63 total points to lead the 2015-16 ODAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Coaches' Poll. Washington and Lee University picked up the remaining two top nods and 53 tallies, while Lynchburg College rounds out the top-three with 50 points from the league's head coaches.

    Reigning two-time ODAC champion Bridgewater College secured six first place towards 62 total points to lead the 2015-16 ODAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Coaches' Poll. Washington and Lee University earned two top nods and 56 tallies, while Roanoke College received the remaining first place vote and 51 points from the league's head coaches.
  • ODAC Spotlight: Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite

    Eastern Mennonite University senior Hannah Chappell-Dick is about as well-rounded a student athlete as they come. A two-time track & field All-American -- mile run indoors and 1,500m run outdoors -- Chappell-Dick is also a national competitor in cross country. She has earned three ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete awards, and was named a Capital One Academic All-American last season.
