  • ODAC Announces Jopson and Berkley Award Winners

    For the second straight year, Washington and Lee University and Eastern Mennonite University feature in the ODAC's highest scholar-athlete honors. Generals' women's tennis star Brooke Donnelly is joined by Royals' men's track & field and cross country standout Tyler Denlinger as the winners of the 2017 Marjorie Berkley and Harry G. "Doc" Jopson Scholar-Athlete Awards, as selected by the ODAC Board of Directors.
  • Bridgewater's Amber Celen Receives Two National Honors

    Having already been named the indoor National Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), Amber Celen has also earned the Outstanding Performer of the Meet Award for the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships.
  • All Five ODAC Athletes at NCAA Indoor Track Championships Earn All-American Status

    The five athletes representing the ODAC and their respective schools at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships have done much more than just show up in Naperville, Ill. Each standout has earned at least one All-American award thru nearly two days of competition at the Res Rec Center at North Central College.
  • Bridgewater's Celen Leads ODAC Five in NCAA Indoor Track Championships

    Five student-athletes from ODAC members will carry the league's banner at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. Standouts from four schools will make the trip to Naperville, Ill., for two days of competition on March 10-11 at the Res Rec Center on the campus of North Central College.
  • Bridgewater and Washington and Lee Split ODAC Indoor Track Titles

    Bridgewater College may not have swept the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championship titles for the third straight season, but the Eagles still tasted victory with the BC women capturing a fourth straight conference championship. Washington and Lee University pushed thru on the men's side, hoisting its seventh overall ODAC trophy and first since 1989.
  • Previewing the 2017 ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

    The ODAC Indoor Track Championships head to a new facility this weekend as Roanoke College opens its campus to league programs for the conference championships conducted on a member school championship in several years. The new Kerr Cregger Field House in the Cregger Center welcomes ODAC competitors for a full day of indoor action on Sunday.

    In the eighth installment of ODAC 40 features, we highlight the conference's top awards in a pair of conversations with the first winners of the Marjorie Berkley and Harry G. "Doc" Jopson Awards. Former Eastern Mennonite University (then known as Eastern Mennonite College) volleyball star Becky (Derstine) Esch garnered the first Berkley Award in 1984, while former Washington and Lee University football and track & field standout Chip Nunley earned the inaugural Jopson Award in 1981.

  • ODAC Men's Indoor Track Set for 2017 Winter Season

    While the weather outside turned cold for much of the region, the ODAC men's indoor track and field ranks start to heat up following the holiday break. Most conference teams opened their slates prior to the flip of the calendar with a couple of meets the first weekend of December, but the bulk of competition begins this weekend in preparation not only for the ODAC Championship but with league programs and athletes setting sights on NCAA postseason competition.
  • ODAC Women's Indoor Track Jumpstarts 2017 Winter Season

    Many of the conference's member school campuses may be under a wet blanket of snow, but that won't keep the winter season from fully jumping into gear with ODAC indoor track & field teams set to return to action. Most conference teams opened their slates prior to the flip of the calendar with a couple of meets the first weekend of December, but the annual holiday break comes to an end this weekend with a series of meets to kickoff the 2017 campaign.

    Swimming returned to action over the past week, with basketball continuing its season. Indoor track also got in the action for its lone set of competitions prior to the turn of the calendar.   • Simpson Selected as Royals Track & Field Head Coach

    Eastern Mennonite University has announced the hiring of Brian Simpson as the new Head Track & Field Coach. He takes over the reins for the Royals immediately. With the recent promotion of Isaac Bryan to Director of Cross Country and Track & Field/Head Cross Country Coach, Simpson completes the second half of a new era for EMU.
  • Nauman Tabbed to Lead Roanoke Cross Country and Track Programs

    Roanoke College Director of Athletics Scott Allison announced Thursday Kirk Nauman has been hired as the Maroons' new Head Men's & Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. Nauman comes to Salem after nine years as the Head Track & Field Coach at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn.
  • Bryan Takes Reins of EMU Cross Country and Track Programs
    July 18, 2016
    Eastern Mennonite University has announced that Isaac Bryan will take over as the new Director of Cross Country and Track & Field and Head Cross Country Coach. He spent the last year as EMU's distance coach.
