The teams were announced over the Internet prior to the webcast of Saturday's NCAA Division III men's basketball title game.

ODAC Rosters Set for Senior ChallengeMarch 12, 2008For the third consecutive year, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and the USA South Athletic Conference will be bringing extra exciting basketball to the region. The ODAC/USA South Senior Basketball Challenge is set for this Sunday, March 16, at the Everett Gymnasium on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan College. The womens contest is set for 1:00 p.m. with the mens match-up following at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the game.

Three ODAC Schools Prepare for NCAA BasketballMarch 04, 2008Three ODAC schools are in preparation for play in this season's NCAA Division III Basketball Tournaments. Both Guilford College and Bridgewater College earned automatic qualifiers into the national tourneys after winning the ODAC men's and women's championships, respectively. The Virginia Wesleyan College men picked up an at-large bid in a vote by the men's basketball committee.

GCs Strong, W&Ls Hutchinson Head Mens Hoops AwardsFebruary 28, 2008Guilford Colleges Ben Strong earned his second Kurt Axe Memorial ODAC Player of the Year award in a vote of the conferences coaches, adding this seasons honor to the one her earned for the 2007 campaign. Washington and Lee University head coach Adam Hutchinson took home the ODAC Coach of the Year honor, and Randolph-Macon College forward Jordan Brown picked up the leagues Rookie of the Year accolade. Hampden-Sydney College guard Drew Prehmus earned the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.

ODAC Basketball Tournament Seeds SetFebruary 24, 2008The 2008 ODAC Basketball Tournament seeds are set with a pair of newcomers holding the top ranks. Guilford College earns top billing on the mens side after churning out a 16-2 conference record, 21-4 overall. Virginia Wesleyan College has given itself its best chance at winning its first ODAC womens basketball championship, entering as the top seed following a 17-3 league mark, 20-5 overall.

Emory & Henrys Bob Johnson Retires from CoachingNovember 15, 2007Effective immediately, Associate Head Coach Paul Russo (E&H class of 2003) will assume the duties of Head Mens Basketball Coach at Emory & Henry College. This transition has occurred because Coach Bob Johnson has stepped away from this position as he confronts a battle with cancer. Bob Johnson, who has coached basketball at Emory & Henry for 27 years, will retain his duties as athletic director. He expects to spend large portions of the upcoming basketball season in Houston, Texas, where he will receive treatment for cancer of the kidney.

Guilford Tops Mens Basketball Preseason PollNovember 01, 2007Guilford College earned five place votes and 93 total tallies on the way to earning the #1 spot in the 2007 ODAC Mens Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll. Virginia Wesleyan College picked up three top nods and 88 total votes, while Hampden-Sydney College rounds out a tight top three with 83 votes and a pair of first place selections.

GCs Kirby to Retire as Athletic DirectorGuilford College mens basketball coach Tom Palombo will add interim athletic director to his responsibilities Aug. 31 upon the retirement of Marion Kirby. Kirby, who spent just over five years as the Quakers athletic director, announced his retirement to the schools coaching staff Thursday afternoon.
