Buzz Anthony, Randolph-Macon, So., Guard

Anthony, a sophomore from Arnold, Md., led nationally fifth-ranked Randolph-Macon to a pair of ODAC wins last week as the Yellow Jackets mathematically locked up the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament. Anthony averaged 19.0 points and 14-of-23 shooting (.609) to go with 13 total assists over the two victories. He opened with 17 points and 10 assists for his third double-double of the season (all on points and assists) in a 91-53 triumph over Hampden-Sydney. He was 6-of-9 from the field including 2-of-5 from deep and nailed all three of his foul shots. He added two rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes on the floor. Anthony followed with 21 points on 8-of-14 from the field including 3-of-7 from downtown in an 87-45 win at Randolph. He made both his shots from the line, handed out three assists, and pulled down three rebounds to go with a steal. For the season, Anthony is 11th in the ODAC in scoring (15.9) and ninth in total points (382). He is first in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.2) and assists (139), fifth in steals (48), 3-point shooting (.461), and free throw shooting (.846), sixth in free throws made (77-91), seventh in field goal shooting (.545), and eighth in field goals made (132-242).
