  • USILA Recognizes ODAC All-Americans

    The ODAC placed 12 student-athletes on the USILA All-American Teams. Roanoke led the way with six honorees including the lone ODAC first teamer in attackman Zach Thomas.

    Roanoke fell behind 8-2 at the half and never held a lead in a 14-7 loss to Denison in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The loss ends the Maroons' season at 17-2.

    Josh Reichert scored a career-high five goals and fifth-ranked Gettysburg jumped out to a 7-2 lead en route to posting a 15-10 victory over sixth-ranked Washington and Lee in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

    Washington and Lee junior attackman Will Keigler netted the game-winning goal off a feed from senior midfielder Tim Skeen with just 10 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the sixth-ranked Generals to a 6-5 overtime triumph over FDU-Florham in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
  • ODAC Announces 2009 All-ODAC Teams

    Washington and Lee earned five first team honors and three major awards through the ODAC’s all-conference voting. The Generals’ Harry St. was named the ODAC Player of the Year and the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete. WLU mentor Gene McCabe was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year, and Lynchburg freshman Dylan Hoff was selected as the top rookie.

  • ODAC Lacrosse Teams Set for NCAA Tournament

    The NCAA released the national tournament draws for each of its six lacrosse tournaments across all divisions on Sunday evening. The ODAC's automatic qualifiers, Washington and Lee for the men and the Roanoke women, as well as the Maroon men, begin play this weekend.

    Roanoke enters the 2009 ODAC Tournament as the top seed. Along with Lynchburg, the Maroons earn one of two first round byes as this season's tournament has been expanded to include six teams.

    Roanoke received 44 total points and five first place votes to lead the 2009 ODAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. Lynchburg , last year's conference champion, sits in second with 41 poll points and the remaining two top nods. Washington and Lee rounds out the top three with 38 tallies.
