    ODAC champion University of Lynchburg collected a league-high 13 all-conference honors in addition to a trio of special accolades to headline the 2021 All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse Awards. Lynchburg defenseman Tyler Gallagher took home a pair of special awards as he was named the ODAC Player of the Year by the coaches and took home ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete laurels from the league's athletic communications personnel. Hornets' mentor Steve Koudlelka earned ODAC Coach of the Year status. Randolph-Macon College attackman Jack Smith and Roanoke College attackman Luke Kammerman share ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades.

  • ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament | First Seven-Team Field Set

    There was plenty left to be decided in the men's lacrosse conference table on the final day of the regular season, but the first seven-team field in league history is set for the 2021 ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Saturday's results impacted nearly every position in the field, most notably the final fixture between Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Lynchburg. The Hornets, ranked fourth in Division III by the USILA, defeated the 16th-ranked Tigers, 11-9. That result moved Washington and Lee University into the top position by winning percentage (.900) at 9-1 in league games. The Generals will play as the tournament's top seed, a position they have now held for four straight tournaments.

    ODAC men's lacrosse teams got off to a fast start in 2020 with 42 combined wins at a .600 winning percentage when play was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each team had at least two wins under their belts, a momentum building note that they hope carries into this season. The league's coaches took their turn at benchmarking this year's table in the 2021 ODAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. The University of Lynchburg stands atop the annual survey having collected 99 total points powered by nine first place votes. Washington and Lee University garnered the remaining two top nods on the way to 91 markers. Hampden-Sydney College caps a top-three that has separated from the pack with 82 points. Randolph-Macon College and Roanoke College sit deadlocked for fourth position with 69 points apiece.
