Hayden, a senior fro Apex, N.C., got his season started off with a stellar effort as Hampden-Sydney knocked off Mary Washington to open a campaign for the second straight year. Hayden poured in five goals and dished out three assists on the way to a 21-13 Tigers victory. He scored his goals on nine shots - with eight on-target - with one tally coming in a man-up situation and another with H-SC a man down. He also picked up a ground ball.
