Ricci, a graduate student from Oakton, Va., was absolutely dominant in the circle in helping nationally fifth-ranked Lynchburg take down #3 Christopher Newport University, 12-5, in a clash of two of the country's top programs. Ricci allowed the Hornets to play from the front-foot all game long in winning 17-of-20 face-offs for an .850 win percentage. He picked up 14 total ground balls and turned one of his face-off and pickup wins into a goal for a 5-2 lead midway thru the second quarter. For the season, Ricci leads the ODAC in face-offs won (95-of-140) and is second with 63 ground balls.
