  • Randolph Names Godwin Next Men's Soccer Head Coach

    The Randolph College Athletics Department announced today that Adam Godwin will serve as its new men's soccer head coach. Godwin becomes the second head coach in the history of the WildCat program, replacing Bryan Waggoner, who took over the same position at Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
  • W&L's Beck Named Academic All-American by CoSIDA

    Washington and Lee University goalkeeper Gillen Beck added a very unique honor to his career list of plaudits on Tuesday afternoon as he was named a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Beck is the first men's soccer player in Generals' history to earn Academic All-America laurels.
  • Lynchburg's McLaurin Named Third Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches

    Lynchburg College goalkeeper Dylan McLaurin was tabbed a Third Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) on Thursday night. This is his first All-America nod following two straight assignments as an all-region goalkeeper.

    Despite taking five more shots than fifth-ranked North Park, the Washington and Lee men's soccer team lost to the Vikings, 3-0, in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at the Holmgren Complex.

    The Lynchburg College men's soccer season came to a sudden end Sunday evening on Shellenberger Field, as the Hornets fell, 1-0, to Emory University in second-round NCAA Division III tournament play.

    The Washington and Lee men's soccer team moved on to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament after advancing on penalty kicks (5-4), following a 3-3 draw against Oglethorpe on Sunday afternoon at Watt Field.

    Sophomore defender Oliver Dolberg (Clovis, Calif. / Buchanan) netted the game-winning goal in the fifth minute to give the Washington and Lee men's soccer team a 2-0 victory over Mary Washington in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Watt Field.
  • Lynchburg Advances to Second Round of NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament

    Lynchburg College scored three goals while keeping their opponents off the board with a 3-0 shutout of Penn State University at Abington on Saturday afternoon at Shellenberger Field in Lynchburg. The Hornets move on to face Emory University on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
  • Lynchburg Trio Highlights All-ODAC Men's Soccer Awards

    Lynchburg College placed nine players on an all-conference team and collected three major individual honors to headline the 2017 All-ODAC Men's Soccer Awards. Hornets' midfielder Nate Berning earned ODAC Player of the Year laurels, while mentor Chris Yeager took home ODAC Coach of the Year recognition and defender Bhayle Kearns was tabbed the ODAC Rookie of the Year. Washington and Lee University goalkeeper Gillen Beck received the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete from the conference's sports information directors for the second straight season.
  • Lynchburg, Washington and Lee Selected to Host NCAA Men's Soccer Early Rounds

    It's "deja vu" for ODAC men's soccer as Lynchburg College and Washington and Lee University will represent the conference in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament for the second straight year. Additionally, both were selected to host four-team pods covering the first and second rounds.

  • Washington and Lee Favored Atop ODAC Men's Soccer Poll

    Washington and Lee University finds itself in a familiar position entering the 2017 season as the Generals stand atop the ODAC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll for the second straight year. W&L picked up 10 first place votes on the way to a chart-topping 115 points. Defending ODAC champion Lynchburg College collected three top nods as part of a 111-tally showing. Roanoke College secured the remaining first place vote and also eclipsed the 100-point plateau with 103 markers in the annual coaches' survey.
