    Shenandoah University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Bridget Lyons, Ph.D., announced Friday that Zack MacDougall has accepted the position as the Hornets new head men's soccer coach.

    Ferrum College running back Brian Mann, University of Lynchburg goalkeeper Delia LoSapio, and Randolph-Macon College midfielder Maddie Burns headline the ODAC's contingent of academic student-athlete honors from CoSIDA as the trio were tabbed Google Cloud Academic All-Americans from the fall seasons.

    The No. 23 Washington and Lee men's soccer team's season came to a close after a 0-0 draw with No. 25 Johns Hopkins in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, with the Blue Jays advancing, 4-2, on penalty kicks.
  • Washington and Lee, Lynchburg Headline All-ODAC Men's Soccer Awards

    Washington and Lee University earned eight all-conference awards in addition to three major individual honors and the University of Lynchburg secured a league-best nine honorees plus the remaining special recognition to headline the 2018 All-ODAC Men's Soccer Awards. Generals' forward Dylan Ritch garnered ODAC Player of the Year laurels for the second time in his career, while W&L mentor Mike Singleton was named the ODAC Coach of the Year. Defender Jack Rawlins rounded out the Generals special awards as he received ODAC Rookie of the Year distinction. Lynchburg midfielder Dan Friedberg secured the remaining special honor as the ODAC's sports information directors named him the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete.

    Just one team will represent the ODAC in this season's NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament, with conference champion Washington and Lee University serving in that role. The NCAA announced the field of 62 teams earlier today, laying out early round matchups and the road to the championship.

    The Washington and Lee offense came alive in the second half, scoring three goals in a 13-minute span, to defeat Bridgewater, 3-0, and claim the 2018 ODAC Men's Soccer Championship on Sunday afternoon.

  • Nine-Team Field Set for ODAC Men's Soccer Postseason

    The ODAC men's soccer tournament field had several positions yet to be decided heading into the final games of each team's schedules, a feature that has become a yearly custom for one of the conference's most competitive sports. Washington and Lee University, thanks to an unbeaten 10-game run thru the league slate, enters the postseason as the top seed for the first time since 2015.

  • Lynchburg Tops ODAC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll

    Two-time defending ODAC champion University of Lynchburg opens the 2018 campaign as the favorite to hoist the program's fourth piece of conference hardware in the past five years as the Hornets stand atop the ODAC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll. Lynchburg earned nine first place votes from the league's head coaches on the way to securing 140 total points in the annual survey. Washington and Lee University sits second with 128 tallies and a trio of top nods, while Roanoke College rounds out the top-three with 122 markers including the remaining first place vote.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2017-18 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the conference's 24 sponsored sports. The squads are comprised of a student-athlete selected by the coaching staffs of each team competing under the conference banner with all sports and schools fully represented.
