2021 SPRING ODAC TOURNAMENT | BRACKET

  • Lynchburg and Guilford squared off for the ODAC title to cap the first ever ODAC men's soccer season in league history.
  • The Hornets, seeded fourth in the tournament, scored 10 goals over the three tournament games beginning with three in a tightly contested 3-2 victory over #5 Randolph. Lynchburg then needed overtime to win on the road, 2-1, at top-seeded Hampden-Sydney in the semifinals.
  • Guilford, slotted sixth in the eight-team field, needed extra-time twice to punch its ticket to the program's first ODAC title game. The Quakers won the sixth straight game via 4-3 extra-time win at #3 Randolph-Macon in the quarterfinals.
  • In the semifinals against #7 Roanoke, the final horn after the second overtime period sounded well past midnight with the two squads locked, 1-1, following 110 minutes of action. Guilford won the ensuing penalty shootout, 4-2.
  • In the championship game at Lynchburg, the Hornets were up 2-0 before 14 were gone and led 3-0 at the half on the way to a 5-1 victory. The win marked the 17th time Lynchburg has hoisted ODAC men's soccer hardware in program history.
