Michael Venegas, Lynchburg, Sr., Midfielder

Venegas, a senior from Winchester, Va., helped the Hornets to a pair of wins over Roanoke College last week --- one to lock up the third seed in the ODAC tournament, and the other in the quarterfinals of the conference postseason event.  In the regular season finale, Venegas assisted on the opening goal and then headed in the winner in overtime of the Hornets' 2-1 win.  On Saturday in the quarterfinals, he assisted on the lone goal in LC's 1-0 triumph.  Lynchburg moves on to Virginia Wesleyan in the semifinals.  Venegas has seven points on the season on two goals and three assists.

Men's Soccer Honor Roll

Jonathan Bush, Eastern Mennonite (So., Defender - Pottstown, Pa.)
Bush scored once and assisted on another in the Royals season-ending 4-0 win over Shenandoah.  The goal was his first of the season.

Michael MacVane, Guilford (Sr., Goalkeeper - Hampton Falls, N.H.)
MacVane made 12 total stops in a pair of 1-0 setbacks for Guilford.  He made eight saves against Randolph, including one on a penalty kick.

Troy Jurney, Randolph (Fr., Forward - Camp Lejeune, N.C.)
In a 2-0 week for the WildCats, Jurney notched an assist in a 4-0 win over Washington and Lee to end the regular season.  He then assisted on then assisted on the lone goal in Randolph's 1-0 quarterfinal win over Guilford.

Sam Bowen, Randolph-Macon (Fr., Forward - Collegeville, Pa.)
Bowen scored once and dished out an assist in the Yellow Jackets 3-2 season-ending loss to Virginia Wesleyan.  His goal tied the match 1-all in the first half, his only shot of the game.

Kyle Fisher, Virginia Wesleyan (Fr., Midfielder - Virginia Beach, Va.)
In a 2-0 week for VWC, Fisher notched a goal and an assist.  He helped out on a tally in the Marlins 3-2 win over R-MC, locking up the second seed in the tournament.  He then followed that with the game-winner in overtime in VWC's 2-1 quarterfinal win over Bridgewater.

Parker Wolfinger, Washington and Lee (Sr., Midfielder - Greer, S.C.)
In the Generals' 1-1 week, Wolfinger scored the lone goal in W&L's 1-0 quarterfinal win over Hampden-Sydney.  the goal came in the 79th minute and puts the Generals in the semifinals for the second straight year.
