Nate Berning, Lynchburg, Jr., Midfielder

Berning, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., has played in a more advanced role for the Hornets this season, and it paid off with a pair of goals last week as Lynchburg went 2-0-1 in conference play to lock up the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament. Berning started his week by slotting home the game's first goal in a 2-0 victory at Guilford. He again opened the scoring two days later against Emory & Henry, beating the keeper once in a 3-0 victory over the Wasps. Lynchburg added a 1-1 draw at Roanoke to close the regular season, but not after securing seven standings points to top the league table. For the season, Berning has registerd eight points on four goals scored.

Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

Daniel Obour, Eastern Mennonite (Fr. - F)
Obour scored twice in the Royals' 4-1 win over Shenandoah. EMU also defeated Emory & Henry, 2-0, last week.

Ricky Aguilar, Guilford (Fr. - M)
Aguilar registered three points in the Quakers 2-1 week as they qualified for the ODAC Tournament for the first time in three years. He notched the game-winner in GC's 2-1 win at Randolph. He then chipped in an assist in a 3-0 win over Hampden-Sydney.

Liam Hogan, Randolph-Macon (Jr. - M)
Hogan helped the Yellow Jackets secure a point with a goal from outside the box in a 1-1 draw at Randolph. 

Tim Mahabir, Roanoke (Sr. - D)
Mahabir helped the Maroons rescue a point on the road at Washington and Lee as he buried a free kick late in regulation in a 1-1 draw against the Generals. RC also tied Lynchburg, 1-1, last week.

Tanner Martin, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr. - F)
Martin helped VWC to a 2-0 week.  He scored all three of his goals to defeat Randolph, 3-0, during the midweek. VWC also topped Shenandoah, 3-0.

Kevin Lencioni, Washington and Lee (So. - M)
Lencioni scored a goal in the Generals' 4-0 win at Bridgewater. He also contributed to a 1-1 tie against Roanoke.
