David Shafer, Eastern Mennonite, Jr., Midfielder

Shafer, a junior from Maitland, Fla., had a hand in five goals scored by Eastern Mennonite as the Royals picked up a pair of conference wins with two six-goal outbursts. In a 6-0 win over Emory & Henry, Shafer helped put the first goal on the board in the 68th minute and then assisted on EMU's second goal before making a 3-0 Royals with his own tally in the 79th minute. He was back at it in a 6-2 victory at Guilford. He assisted on the opening goal in the eighth minute and then put EMU up 4-1 in the 54th minute with a 20-yard strike in transition. For the season, Shafer is tied for fourth in the ODAC with 14 points on five goals and four assists, the latter of which is tied for tops in the ODAC.

Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

JP Reategui, M, H-SC: Scored twice in the Tigers 1-1 week. Had the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Randolph-Macon. Added the second goal in a 4-1 victory over Shenandoah.

Jon Mackey, F, LC: Scored once in a 5-0 win over Shenandoah and then beat the keeper twice in 3-0 triumph at Bridgewater.

Peter Nelson, M, R-MC: After a 2-1 win at Hampden-Sydney to start the week, Nelson scored once and dished out an assist in a 3-0 victory at Emory & Henry.

Jon-Cody Mactutus, M, RC: Scored the opener in a 2-1 win at Guilford and then converted an 85th minute penalty kick to win at Washington and Lee, 1-0.

Ricky Perrault, F, VWU: Tied the game 1-all 50th minute and then coverted the game-winning penalty kick in double-overtime for a 3-2 win over Randolph.
