Oakes, a senior from Waynesboro, Va., is rounding into form for the Royals as he helped Eastern Mennonite snap a four-game skid with a pair non-conference road wins before opening ODAC play this week. Oakes opened EMU's account at Gallaudet with fifth-minute tally in a 3-0 Royals' victory. He was again back on the scoresheet with a 20-yard strike across goal for Eastern Mennonite's third goal in an eventual 5-3 triumph at Lebanon Valley College. Oakes now has five points on the season with two goals and an assist, all of which have come in the last three games.
