Matthew Moody, Hampden-Sydney, So., #1 Singles, #1 Doubles

Moody, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., went a combined 8-0 between action at #1 singles and #1 doubles in a 3-1 week for the Tigers that included a 3-0 run against ODAC opponents. Hampden-Sydney jumped to fourth in the ODAC standings at 5-2 in league play. Moody joined his brother Michael for four victories at top-flight doubles. They won 8-5 over Southern Virginia, 8-4 over Lynchburg, 8-1 against Randolph, and 8-2 against Randolph-Macon. Matthew picked up a 6-4, 6-4, win in singles play against SVU, making him responsible four two of H-SC's points in their 5-4 team setback. He earned a 6-3, 4-6, 10-5, in the Tigers' 7-2 victory over Lynchburg. He added a 6-2, 6-0, win in Hampden-Sydney's 9-0 win over Randolph, and finished with a 6-0, 6-1, triumph in H-SC's 7-2 decision over Randolph-Macon. Moody is now 12-4 in singles play and is 15-1 in doubles play as part of the reigonally 15th-ranked doubles tandem with Michael.

Men's Tennis Weekly Honor Roll

Mason Robb, GC: went 5-1 combined at #2 singles and #2 doubles in a 2-1 week for the Quakers. With Elijah Gregory, surrounded a 9-7 loss to W&L in doubles play with 8-2 and 8-3 wins over Roanoke and Bridgewater. In singles play, Robb won 6-4, 6-3, over RC, 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6) over W&L, and 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 over BC.

Luke Sablik, LC: went 7-1 between singles and doubles action in a 3-1 week for LC. Picked #2 singles wins of 6-2, 6-3, and 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5) and 6-1, 6-0, against H-SC, Roanoke, and E&H. Added a 6-1, 6-4, win at #3 singles against Shenandoah. With Nick Savino, won 8-2 and 8-4 at #2 doubles against SU and E&H. With Will Nsoesie, lost 8-4 to H-SC at #1 doubles. With Juan Borga, won 8-6 over RC at #1 doubles.

Grant Sarver, R-MC: went 4-2 combined at #2 singles and #2 doubles. With Jacob Haines, lost 8-2 in doubles play before picking up a 6-2, 6-1 singles win against VWU. With Erik Moulton, won 8-3 in doubles to go wtih a 6-1, 6-2 singles win over Roanoke. Again with Moulton, lost 8-4 in doubles to go with a 6-4, 6-0 singles win over H-SC.
