Perry, a senior from Johns Creek, Ga., picks up his second straight weekly award following a very busy and successful week for the Virginia Wesleyan mens' squad. The Marlins went 3-2 in five team matches last week with Perry posting a 4-1 record at #1 singles and a 5-0 with partner Felix Bevc at #1 doubles. In a match against Division I Norfolk State (L, 7-0), Perry and Bevc posted a 6-4 win over Ignaio Guevel and Frederico Rebecchini. Perry accounted for two points in a 6-3 setback to Methodist. He and Bevc won 8-6 over Jordan Theron and Patrick Newsome in doubles play with Perry adding a 6-1, 6-3, win over Henry Murray in singles action. VWU posted an 8-1 win over Roanoke with Perry and Bevc winning 8-4 over Jack Fishwick and Grayson White in doubles action. Perry earned a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, singles result over Fishwick. Virginia Wesleyan also posted a pair of 8-1 win over Emory & Henry and Lynchburg. Perry and Bevc earned an 8-1 win over Archer Marlow and Sean Given from E&H and an 8-0 victory over Daniel Christian and Carter McCleary from Lynchburg in doubles play. Perry picked singles wins over E&H Brandon McGuire, 6-3, 6-1, and LYN's Colton Mullins, 6-0, 6-0. Perry is 7-4 overall in singles matches and 10-2 overall in doubles matches.
