  • Former Maroon Carmen Graves Qualifies for Olympic Trials
    June 26, 2016
    Former Roanoke College All-American Carmen Graves has qualified and will compete at the 2016 United States Track & Field Trials in the 3000m steeplechase. The trials will be held in Eugene, Oregon from July 1-10. Graves will see her first action on July 4 at 4:00 p.m. PST. Graves will be looking to secure a spot on Team USA for the 2016 Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil August 5-21.
  • ODAC Announces Jopson and Berkley Award Winners

    Eastern Mennonite University and Washington and Lee University added to their awards quota for the 2015-16 season as the ODAC Board of Directors announced the annual winners of the top scholar-athlete awards in the conference. Royals' cross country and track & field star Hannah Chappell-Dick was selected as the Marjorie Berkley Award winner, while Generals' tennis standout Michael Holt was tabbed for the Harry G. "Doc" Jopson Award.
  • Finn Pincus Retires Following 25 Years at Roanoke College

    Dr. Finn Pincus, who just completed his 25th year as head coach of the Roanoke College Cross Country and Track & Field programs, announced Monday that he is retiring. Pincus will remain as a part-time assistant coach for the cross country programs through the end of the 2016 season. Roanoke Director of Athletics Scott Allison said a search for a new Director of Cross Country and Track & Field will begin immediately.
  • Three Earn All-American Awards at NCAA Track & Field Championships

    Three athletes combined to earn four All-American awards over three days of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Bridgewater College standout Amber Celen sprinted her way to a pair of honors, while teammate Kristen Trice made it three All-American awards for the Eagles. Eastern Mennonite University's Hannah Chappell-Dick secured the remaining national award.
  • ODAC Eight Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

    Eight student-athletes are set to represent their schools and the ODAC at the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Three men's competitor and five women's standouts head to Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, for competition in the annual season-ending event May 26-28.
  • Bridgewater Sweeps ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

    Bridgewater College put another feather in its cap on Saturday afternoon in Lynchburg as the Eagles took home both team titles from the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championshps for the first time in program history. The dual victory completes a season sweep of conference crowns in 2015-16 as the Eagles add these two trophies to the pair they hoisted following the ODAC indoor championships in February.
  • BC Men, SU Women Lead After Day 1 at ODAC Track & Field Champs

    Weather may have delayed the start of the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, but that didn't keep the athletes from shining under the lights at Lynchburg College. Bridgewater College's men own a 60-55 lead over the host Hornets in the team standings, while the conference's other set of Hornets, Shenandoah University, maintains the narrowest of leads at 59-58 over the Eagles in the women's ranks.
  • Previewing the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

    The ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships return to Lynchburg College this weekend as the Hornets open the gates of Shellenberger Field to the rest of the conference for two days of competition on Dr. Jack Toms Track. ODAC squads will compete in 40 total events (20 men, 20 women) beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22 and continuing on Saturday, April 23.

  • ODAC Spotlight: Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite

    Eastern Mennonite University senior Hannah Chappell-Dick is about as well-rounded a student athlete as they come. A two-time track & field All-American -- mile run indoors and 1,500m run outdoors -- Chappell-Dick is also a national competitor in cross country. She has earned three ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete awards, and was named a Capital One Academic All-American last season.
