Sam Crawford, Roanoke, So., Sprints

Crawford, a sophomore from Winston-Salem, N.C., competed twice and won two events at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational hosted by the University of Lynchburg over the weekend. Not only did Crawford take over the top position in the ODAC in winning the 400-meter dash, but his time of 48.33 seconds is currently #1 in NCAA Division III by 0.02 seconds over JP Vaught from Centre College. Crawford joined teammates Troy Crawley, Xavier O'Brien, and Blake Morin in setting a new Roanoke record in the 4x100-meter dash with a winning time of 42.24 seconds. That time is tops in the ODAC and sixth in the country.
