Aniya Seward, Lynchburg, Fy., Jumps/Hurdles

Seward, a first-year from Ebony, Va., put together a strong day for Lynchburg at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic hosted by the University of Lynchburg. Seward competed in three events, including the triple jump. She finished second overall and first among collegiate competitors at 11.49 meters (37-8.50). She is now the owner of the top-three triple jump marks this season with this distance slotting inside Division III's top-20 post jumps. Seward also took two turns on the track, including a Lynchburg record-setting performance in the 4x100-meter relay. She and teammates Vuronika Barnes, Destaunia Perry, and LaMaya Lacy won the event in 48.80 seconds, which ranks 22nd nationally. Seward added a second place finish in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.04 seconds. That is Seward's third-best time in the event this season, which still ranks ahead of the conference's third-ranked time. She and Lacy already own the top-two posted times in the ODAC.
