Thomas, a freshman from Harrisonburg, Va., turned in the finest week of her young Bridgewater career, hitting at a .556 clip on the week in BC’s eight games played. Thomas went 9-for-13 in four conference games for a .692 average in conference play, with seven RBI, a double, homerun and six runs scored. On the week, Thomas drove in 12 runs, scored 11 times, hit two doubles and drilled two long balls. Thomas slugged at an .889 clip for the week and posted a .556 on base percentage as well.

Kimberly Keys, Guilford, Sophomore -
Outfield
Keys hit .545 with a homers, two doubles and seven RBI in the
Quakers’ 4-2 week… set the school records for hits and
RBI in a season… was 5-8 with a double and two RBI in
Guilford’s doubleheader split with Randolph… had three
hits and two RBI in the Quakers’ 12-9 opening-game
win… was 3-4 with a homer and five RBI in Guilford’s
16-3, five-inning win over Emory & Henry… set the school
record for RBI in a season (45)… went 4-7 with a double in
the Quakers’ split at Lynchburg, including a game-high three
hits in the nightcap win… set the school record for hits in
a season (58)… has 12 multiple-RBI games and 17 multi-hit
games.
Lauren Duguay, Lynchburg, Senior - Outfield
Duguay hit .556 last week in four games, drilling two
homers and a double. She drove in five runs and walked five times
– and posted an on-base percentage of .714 and a slugging
percentage of 1.333.
Nichole Smith, Randolph, Senior - Third Base
Smith led the WildCats offensive attack during an
important 3-1 week in ODAC play. The senior belted two home runs,
including a grand slam in the 7-5 win at Roanoke College in game
one. She finished the week batting .538 (7-13) with a team-high
eight RBIs.
Paige Smith, Randolph-Macon, Junior - Third Base
Smith finished the week 9-for-20 with five homeruns, three
doubles and 12 RBI. Smith went a perfect 4-for-4 including a
homerun, two doubles, and two RBI against Sweet Briar during the
week. Paige homered in each of Randolph-Macon’s games against
Eastern Mennonite to propel the Yellow Jackets to a doubleheader
sweep. R-MC finishes the 2010 season with 11 conference wins, the
highest total in program history.
Hollee Warlitner, Roanoke, Freshman - Catcher/Outfield
Warlitner batted .500 with two doubles (both off
Lynchburg) and hit a grand slam against Ferrum last week as the
Maroons went 3-3 last week. She went 4-for-4 with a double
and two runs scored against Lynchburg as the Maroons defeated the
Hornets in five innings, 12-4. Warlitner went 2-for-4 with a
run against Randolph in the 7-5 loss on Sunday. She also
scored three runs and hit the grand slam in the 10-4 win over the
Panthers last Tuesday.
Jaclyn Quinn, Virginia Wesleyan, Sophomore - Catcher/Third
Base
Quinn enjoyed her best week of the season at the plate
where she hit at a .692 clip (9x13) to help the Marlins to 4-0
showing and extend a current winning streak to 14 consecutive
games. Quinn hit a home run in each game of a double header
at Eastern Mennonite to increase her season total of homers to
eight, the second highest total in VWC history. She also
belted four doubles to increase her season total to 15. She
recorded 11 RBI in the four games. Quinn is hitting .452 for
the 28-7 Marlins and leads the team in all extra-base categories,
RBI and total bases.
