Lowery, a senior from Madison Heights, Va., picks up her second straight weekly honor as she was near perfect in the four games played this week. She hit 11-for13 for an .846 average with at least two hits in each contest. She was 4-for-6 with a homer, two runs batted in and a run scored in a double-header sweep of Emory & Henry to open the week. She followed that with a 7-for-7 twinbill against Lynchburg, helping the Maroons to a sweep of the Hornets with two doubles, a pair of RBI and two runs scored. Lowery is currently second in the ODAC with a .471 batting average, and is third with a .760 slugging percentage.

Emily VanHaneghan, Guilford, Freshman, Outfielder
VanHaneghan hit .571 with two runs scored and three
stolen bases in Guilford’s doubleheader split with
Randolph… had three hits, two steals and two runs scored,
all career highs, in the Quakers’ 5-4 opening-game
win… went one-for-two with a stolen base in the nightcap
Jessi Hall, Lynchburg, Freshman, Outfielder
Hall hit .600 last week as the Hornets went 3-1 in
four ODAC games. She was 9-15 with a double and a home run to boast
an .867 slugging percentage. Hall scored seven runs and stole two
bases as well.
Amanda Sopko, Randolph-Macon, Freshman,
Outfielder
Sopko led R-MC to a sweep of Southern Virginia in the Yellow
Jackets’ home finale on Thursday. The freshman finished
the week 4-for-5 from the plate, scoring three runs, and batting in
one. The freshman also stole three bases in the
doubleheader.
