Stephanie Clark, Roanoke, Jr., Pitcher

Clark, a junior from Nathalle, Va., appeared in three games last week, posting a pair of complete game shutouts along the way.  She opened the week with a four-hitter in game-one at Randolph.  She worked around five walks with a pair of strikeouts in the 6-0 win.  She came back with a 4-0 win at Lynchburg in game one.  She gave up seven hits and walked one while striking out three.  She also recorded the last two LC outs of the bottom of the sixth in a 4-1 game two loss.  For the season, Clark is 12-1 with a save and a 2.12 earned run average in 79-1 innings of work.  She leads the ODAC with six shutouts and is fourth with 12 complete games.

Softball Pitching Honor Roll

Maggie Shaffer, Guilford - (Fr, P - Horsham, Pa., 12)
Shaffer went 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA and eight strikeouts in two appearances on the mound..  She earned back to back complete game ODAC wins in two days as she held off a #13 Lynchburg rally in the 7th to preserve a 3-2 win.  She helped her own cause with a two-RBI single for the Quakers' first two runs of game two versus Emory & Henry.

Hope Johnson, Lynchburg - (So, P - Evington, VA, 8)
Johnson went 3-1 last week, earning wins against Bridgewater, Guilford and Roanoke with the loss coming in game one against RC.  In 24 total innings, she gave 11 runs (six earned) on 26 hits with five walks and 11 strikeouts.  She gave up four hits and one run to hand RC its first ODAC loss in game two on Sunday.  Johnson is now 13-2 with a 1.66 ERA covering 22 appearances and 105.2 innings pitched.

Kristen Hutchinson, Randolph - (Jr, P - Rockville, VA, 19)
Hutchinson went the distance against EMU in game two on Tuesday, picking up a win while allowing just one run on 10 hits and striking out two. Saturday against No. 12 Roanoke College, she surrendered four hits and one run over five innings of work in a 2-0 loss.

Stephanie Cameron, Shenandoah - (Jr, P - Ocala, Fla., 14)
Cameron won twice last week, picking up a 2-1 triumph over Stevenson and a 16-2 victory at Emory & Henry.  She went nine innings to get the win against the Mustangs, giving up one run while scattering seven hits and walking five.  She fanned nine in the effort.  She was one short of 10 strikeouts against the Wasps as she worked four innings of the shortened contest, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits.

Mackenzie Creech, Va. Wesleyan - (Jr, Pitcher - Hillsborough, N.C., 4)
Creech helped VWC to a 4-0 week, all ODAC wins, with two more pitching victories to increase her season victory total to 15. That is the 10th highest total in VWC history. She pitched two complete games, including a 10-inning contest in a 3-2 win over Bridgewater. Creech struck out 16 batters in the two games, including a season-high 12 against BC.  She shutout EMU 4-0 earlier in the week, giving up eight hits and walking two with four strikeouts in seven innings.  She improved her season ERA to 1.29. She is now 15-3 on the season with 88 strikeouts.
