Jones, a senior from Brodnax, Va., hit safely in all eight games for nationally fourth-ranked Randolph-Macon over the last eight days, driving in at least one run in all but one contest. She went 10-for-23 on the week with two doubles, a triple, homer, nine RBI, five runs scored, three walks, and a stolen base to help the Yellow Jackets to a 7-1 showing. She doubled and drove in two runs in a split (1-2, 2-1) with nationally top-ranked Virginia Wesleyan, snapping the Marlins 41-game winning streak in the second contest. Jones went 3-for-6 with a double, triple, homer, four RBI, and three runs scored in a sweep (8-1, 11-0) of Roanoke. She went 2-for-6 with a RBI and a run scored in a sweep (4-3, 2-1) of Guilford. Jones capped her stretch by going 3-for-6 with two RBI and a runs scored in a regular-season ending sweep of Randolph (5-0, 6-0) to wrap up the #2 seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament. Jones is hitting .364 on the season with the ODAC's fourth-best slugging percentage at .718. She is second in the ODAC in homeruns (9) and RBI (41).

Softball Player of the Week Honor Roll

Brianna Whorley, BC: went 9-for-26 (.346) with two doubles, a triple, four RBI, and five runs scored in eight games last week. Went 3-for-9 with a RBI and three runs scored in a split (5-4, 2-3) against EMU. Went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI in a 5-3 setback to top-ranked Virginia Wesleyan.

Tiffani Shaheen, EMU: went 11-for-21 with two doubles, two RBI, and five runs scored with four stolen bases in a 2-4 week for EMU. Went 4-for-8 with three steals and two runs scored in a split (4-7, 3-2) at Guilford. Went 4-for-7 with a double and two runs scored in a split (4-5, 3-2) at Bridgewater. Went 3-for-6 with a double in two games (3-5, 2-6) at Averett.

Savannah Yale, GC: went 9-for-16 with two homers, six RBI, and four runs scored in a 2-3 week for Guilford. Went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI in a 6-3 win at Pfeiffer. Went 3-for-4 with a homer and three more RBI in a 4-3 loss at #4 Randolph-Macon.

Taylor Mabry, LC: went 10-for-21 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in a 6-0 week. Smacked a walk-off single in a 1-0 eight-inning win over Bridgewater. Went 5-for-7 with a double and two RBI in a sweep (5-1, 3-1) at Averett. Went 3-for-8 with a double in a sweep (4-3, 8-0) over Emory & Henry.

Lauren Morris, RAND: went 4-for-10 to cap the regular season. Went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in an 8-5 win at Shenandoah. Went 2-for-2 in the opening game (0-2) of the series.

Katie Smith, RC: went 8-for-19 with three doubles, a triple, five RBI, three runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base in a 3-3 week. Went 3-for-7 with a double, triple, four runs, two RBI, a walk, and a stolen base in a sweep (14-2, 4-3) of Shenandoah.

Cassetty Howerin, VWU: went 7-for-18 with two doubles, six RBI, three walks, and three stolen bases. Went 4-for-8 with three RBI and three steals in a sweep (5-3, 3-1) of Bridgewater.
