ODAC Represented by Four Schools in NCAAsFebruary 26, 2007Four schools from Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men and womens basketball will take their games to the next level. Hampden-Sydney College, the champion of the ODAC mens tournament this past weekend, will be joined by Virginia Wesleyan College and Guilford College in the mens 59-team bracket. Randolph-Macon College is the lone ODAC womens squad in the 63-team field following its championship on Sunday afternoon.

Randolph-Macon Wins Third Straight Womens TitleFebruary 25, 2007Randolph-Macon College became just the second school in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) womens basketball history to win three straight conference titles on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets defeated Virginia Wesleyan College 76-65, marking the first RMC victory in its three meetings with the Marlins in league tournament championship games.

ODAC Announces 2007 Women's Hoops All-League TeamsFebruary 22, 2007Roanoke College junior forward Erin Hanson and Eastern Mennonite University head coach Kevin Griffin headlined the 2007 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) womens basketball postseason honors, winning the leagues player and coach of the year awards. Randolph-Macon center Molly Ariail was recognized as the conferences top rookie while Lynchburg senior post Caroline Wesley won the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award. Randolph College, founded as Randolph-Macon Womans College, was tabbed with the conference team sportsmanship award.

VWC, RMC Secure ODAC Basketball Top SeedsFebruary 17, 2007The seeds are set for the 2007 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) postseason tournament. Virginia Wesleyan College, last seasons NCAA Division III national champion, and Randolph-Macon College will enter the Men's and Women's ODAC Basketball Championships as the #1 seeds, respectively. The Marlins (22-3, 17-1) go in search of their third straight ODAC men's crown while the Yellow Jackets (21-4, 18-2) are looking to make it three straight tourney titles through the women's bracket.

Yellow Jackets to Retire Silva's Number 11 JerseyJanuary 30, 2007Randolph-Macon College announced Tuesday the schools plans to retire former womens basketball standout Megan Silvas number 11 Friday, February 16, prior to the Yellow Jackets game against Lynchburg College. The ceremony is slated to take place before the 7:00 p.m. scheduled tip-off.
